Last night, as I lay in bed, the whimsical phrase “twinkle two three, twinkle two three” kept repeating in my mind. I attended a beginner line dancing class, marking my third experience in this energizing pursuit. It was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed being with a great group of people. However, I quickly realized that I needed to practice if I wanted to master these skills.
Determined to find a way to practice at home, I set up my camera to record the first row of dancers moving in sync, capturing the instructor’s directions. This endeavor led to another exciting challenge: learning how to edit and craft video clips. Both tasks felt daunting, requiring a blend of creativity and technical skills. I’m not sure which will be harder for me—learning to dance or learning to edit videos!
However, the essence of my blog, “Recording Life as It Dances By,” inspires me to embrace these challenges. Dancing and creating video snippets are essential parts of my journey. This was my first attempt, and although my camera was propped up somewhat haphazardly in a less-than-ideal position, it was a start—a glimpse of what I hope to achieve in the coming days.
